Zona Colonial
Is by far the most stunning and historical landmark in the entire Santo Domingo. It has been declared as UNESCO’s World Heritage Site wherein the origin dates back to the 1500’s era. Nowadays, the district covers less than 5 square kilometers. There are many prominent landmarks in here and to name a few: Alcázar de Colón, Fortaleza Ozama, Parque de la Independencia, Museo de las Casas Reales and Royal Sundial. These landmarks are built during colonization period of Spanish government.
Fort San Cristobal
A powerful bastion that dominates every corner of Old City is basked in the scenic country of Puerto Rico. The purpose of its erection was to guard the city from land attacks and to defend the north coast. Fort San Cristobal features an extensive channel structure that connects the different parts of the fortress. This awesome structure was deemed finished between 1766 and 1783.
Dunn’s River Falls
Spanning approximately 600 feet, Dunn’s River Falls is Jamaica’s well-known waterfalls and a major Caribbean tourist spots. In the very first movie of James Bond, which is Dr. No, Dunn’s River was prominently featured. El Morro
This massive stone structure is officially known as Fuerte San Felipe del Morro. El Morro is a six-level fort that offers a spectacular view of the entrance of San Juan Bay. The fort is both a UNESCO World Heritage and a National Historic Site in the U.S. National Service Park. Fuerte San Felipe del Morro still survives despite the series of attacks like from the Dutch fleets in 1625.
